Chinmay J Mirji heads the litigation practice group of Atman Law Partners. He focuses on litigation, real estate and commercial contracts. Chinmay has significant experience in IT and ITES contracts. He provides in-house counsel services to a number of companies and has in the past helped set up legal department processes within his clients’ organizations. He has been active in the anti-piracy campaign and was a counsel for the World Motion Picture Association in Bangalore.

Chinmay appears regularly in the courts in Bangalore and specializes in civil recovery suits. He also represents a number of clients in labor courts and helps liaison with regulatory authorities.

Represented a New York-based HR outsourcing company in a passing off action in a Bangalore court

Represented a major Indian bank and its affiliated mutual fund in title investigation, reports and basic corporate due diligence with regard to proposed investments in property and land holding companies

Represented a well-known Indian IT company in a USD 20 million outsourcing contract with a Washington-based Insurance major

Involved in USD 150 million acquisition of an outsourcing division of Netherland’s based conglomerate by an Indian IT company

Responsible for the legal and regulatory assistance in connection with the creation of an IT Special Economic Zone in Rajasthan
